Camping Essentials
- Tent — Choose something lightweight and easy to set up.
- Sleeping bag — Ensure the bag is temperature appropriate.
- Sleeping pad — Imperative for comfort on unforgiving ground.
- Knife — Versatility is key.
- Firestarter — Matches and/or lighter. Time matters when the sun drops on a cold evening.
- Stove and fuel — Compact stoves for cooking meals and boiling water.
- Utensils & cookware — A spoon and a mug will suffice. Bring a pot. Bring a can opener.
- Food — Non-perishables that are easy to prepare.
- Water — Enough for drinking and cooking.
- Pepper spray — For bears and unwanted encounters.
- First aid kit — Bandages, gauze, antiseptic wipes, pain relievers.
